Here are some of my crafty projects that I've done over the last year or two. A little bit of decoupage ,painting, crafting sewing always lifts my spirits when I see the end result most of my projects are 'up-cycled' items that I have come across at auctions, markets , vintage fairs and car booties and after updating them a little and putting my own spin on things they are given a new lease of life and look good as new.
Upcycled table March 2012
this little beauty was originally just a humble little victorian side table , I first decoupaged the top using vintage music scores and then aged them using distressing inks .. added some vintage butterfly images and then glittered them to add a bit of magic ... then used a semi gloss clear laquer to seal everything even though the table has a glass top .
this was a fabulous project and I was really tempted to keep this little beauty to myself , but took it along to the Whimsicle Affairs vintage fair last Sunday , and a lovely lady just had to have it and took my details as she wants to add similar pieces , so although hard to part with , I know that it is going to a loving home and will be treasured as well as making a new connection, and meeting someone who shares my idea of treasure
